Science Museum’s SEG1 available for events from July 2024

Wednesday, December 6, 2023 - 09:45

The Science Museum’s versatile gallery SEG1 will be available for daytime and evening hire from July 2024 until March 2025.

Previously available in 2018, SEG1 has hosted events for clients including Coca-Cola, Vivienne Westwood, and Imperial College in the past and is the ideal location for creative and ambitious event concepts and designs. The flexibility and accessibility of the space meant it was also used as a vaccination centre during the Covid pandemic.

The 750sqm gallery can be hired for short or long-term dry hire arrangements, including exhibitions, launches and fashion shows. SEG1 can be hired in conjunction with purpose-built space Illuminate, which gives clients the opportunity to easily increase the scale of their event.

The blank canvas space has the flexibility to host the exhibition element of an event or conference taking place in Illuminate or can be branded and transformed into a designated breakout area. The gallery can host up to 300 guests theatre-style, 200 cabaret style or 400 for a reception.

SEG1 is also a fantastic option for fashion shows and launches with an abundance of natural daylight, high ceilings, ample power, and Wi-Fi capabilities.

Bryony Mitchison, Group Sales Manager at the Science Museum, comments: “We’re excited to have SEG1 available for events again next year. It’s a fantastically versatile space for creative events and is available to hire alongside Illuminate for those events that require extra space for an exhibition or a designated breakout area. It’s also perfectly suited for fashion shows, launches and shoots having previously hosted the Vivienne Westwood runway show during London Fashion Week.”

SEG1 is available from July 2024 until March 2025. To enquire about hiring this versatile gallery space, contact the team now: venuehire@sciencemuseum.ac.uk / 020 7942 4340
